Welcome to Montana Horses, an rpg (role playing game) for wild horses. In this game you may be a mare, stallion, or a foal. Living in the Montana region you will live in a herd, or even be lead stallion of a herd if your horse is strong enough.
Some territories can be quite large, but if the stallion(s) isn't fit enough to keep rival stallions away, then some of his territory can be stolen and split so that he's forced to share it with another stallion. When this happens, the stallion may bring his own herd onto the territory, or vie for exiling the other stallion and claiming his herd.
If the territory is small and a stallion comes to claim it from another stallion, then it wouldn't be split in two, and you'd most likely be chased from your territory and forced to find another territory or herd to let you in.
When you get accepted into a new herd, however, you will start as the lowest horse in the ranking and have to work your way up.
Mares battle just as much. You must be careful to stay near your herd, because other stallions may try to steal you into his own herd. If your stallion leader isn't strong enough to save you, then you will be taken by the other stallion and joined into his herd. It is important for mares to find a herd with a strong and smart stallion so that they're protected and have a trustworhty leader. Another factor important to mares is their ranking, something most are always fighting to be in the top for. However, others would prefer to be followers and to have others lead.
